With over 35 years on the road, Rory Makem is a seasoned performer, having toured extensively with The Makem Brothers and the Makem and Spain Brothers. Cara Wildman is a highly sought after bodhrán player at the cutting edge of the instrument’s modern development. She has toured with Joanie Madden, Oisín Mac Diarmada’s Irish Christmas in America, Máiréad Nesbitt’s Celtic Spells, was a founding member of Irish band The Consequences, and more.

Canadian fiddle champions Jane Cory and Kyle Burghout have toured across Canada playing at festivals, competitions, camps, dances, theatres, and house concerts. Each with many accolades to their credit—Jane a Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champion, and Kyle a North American Irish Fiddle Champion—they join forces to create innovative arrangements filled with lush twin fiddle harmonies.

Portage is a new super-group of five fiddler/multi-instrumentalist/singers from across Canada bringing you old and new traditions in a collective musical adventure. High energy fiddling from many traditions meets innovative arrangements with vocals, guitar, cello, piano, accordion, feet and more.
