Celtic Roots Festival

The Goderich Celtic Roots Festival is an annual celebration of the seven Celtic nations’ music, craft, and culture from August 9th to 11th. With five stages, varying from small intimate performances to the high-powered Main Stage, the Festival is a unique musical experience in Canada and on the worldwide stage. Fresh local food, high-quality craft artisans, art demonstrations, a children’s activity area, an evening market – and over 60 hours of live music – make this an unmissable weekend in Goderich. 

On August 10th and 11th watch the South Huron Recreation Centre grounds transform into a unique western playground. The Exeter RAM Rodeo has a jam-packed schedule of thrilling rodeo competitions that promise to keep you on the edge of your seat. Bayfield Fair happens Aug 16th to 18th. This year’s fair theme is “Farms, Food & Family”. They will be offering up an exciting weekend full of family-friendly games, music, and other enjoyable bits of entertainment, celebrating our hard-working farmers, and to appreciate the fertile land that feeds us all. Another essential element of any agricultural fair is the Homecraft Competition. If you’re a fan of a little friendly competition or just feel like showing off some of your skills, you’ll probably enjoy entering something in the Homecraft Competition. There are so many categories to choose from that you’re basically guaranteed to find one that appeals to your competitive spirit.

Celebrating the mighty bean, the Zurich Bean Festival is an annual event happening August 23rd and 24th. This free family-friendly event is sure to impress with live Entertainment happening throughout the two days, many delicious Food Trucks, a Midway for the kiddos, a unique and expansive Classic Car Show, fireworks, street vendors of all kinds, and much more!

Walton Raceway

Every August for the past 32 years, the annual ‘Celebration of Canadian Motocross ‘ transforms the hamlet of Walton into “Motocross Town”. Join the crowd where champions are crowned and celebrate Canada’s best amateur racers annually at the Walton TransCan Amateur Grand National Championship on August 7-11.
